Iran National Team Responds to Trump’s World Cup Participation Remarks

The Iran national team responded on its official social media account to U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks suggesting that Iran should not participate in the World Cup.
The Iran national team stated that the World Cup is a long-established international tournament governed by FIFA — not by any individual or country. Through the players’ courage and their own strength, Iran secured a series of decisive victories and became one of the first teams to qualify for this major competition.
Of course, no one can exclude the Iran national team from the World Cup. The only ones who could be excluded are those who merely hold the title of “host,” but lack the ability to provide security for the teams participating in this global event.
